As of May 19, 2008, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner factory in Everett, Washington, was full with four airplanes in work. The first airplane (right) will fly later this year. The second airplane, which is actually the third to be built on the production line, will join the second airframe in ground-based testing to demonstrate the capability of the structure. The fourth to be built on the production line, (shown as the third airplane here) will also be part of the flight test program. The fifth airplane is also in production, further down the line.
