The first 757-200 passenger-to-freighter conversion is performed at the Boeing Airplane Services’ Wichita Modification Center. A section of the 757-200 fuselage is removed and will be replaced with a 20-foot-by-22- foot cargo door surround structure. The 757SF can carry 60,000 pounds (27,210 kg) of cargo more than 2,000 nautical miles (4,630 km) with a volume payload capacity of more than 8,000 cubic feet (226.5 cubic meters).
