Twenty-six airlines ordered 122 of the transports. The final design featured a double-jointed, needle-shaped nose that would drop during takeoff and landing for improved pilot visibility. Government funding was withdrawn in 1971 before the prototype was finished.BI22446 (k11915)Maximum size:4798px × 5998px (~82 MB)15.9in × 19.9in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1960s-airplanes-blue-blur-Boeing Supersonic Transport (SST)-commercial-commercial passenger planes-Conceptual aircraft, designed, but never produced-contrast-delta wings-digitally-enhanced images-folding wings-full body views-futuristic-ground shots-high-tech / advanced-historic production status-jets-monoplanes-orange-photo illustrations-photos-silver color-structural systems-swept wings-symmetry-yellowRelated Photo/Videos:View AllRelated Virtual folders:Boeing 2707 Supersonic Transport (SST)
