The first 747-400 LCF completed its first flight on Sept. 9, 2006. The LCFs are being modified by Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. (EGAT), a joint venture between General Electric and EVA Air. The second airplane was scheduled to be finished in late 2006. Both planes will begin ferrying components for the 787 Dreamliner in 2007.
