747-400 Large Cargo Freighter (LCF) Loading Fuselage
On August 17, 2006 Boeing rolled the first 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter (LCF) out of the hangar at Taipei's Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport. The enormous jet, with its enlarged upper fuselage, can accommodate three times the cargo by volume of a standard 747-400 freighter. It is the first of three specially modified jets that will be used to transport major assemblies for the all-new 787 Dreamliner. The LCF flew for the first time on Sept. 9, 2006.
