747X Passenger Cabin
These easy chairs and end table in this computer-generated rendering are but one concept that 747X Stretch customers might select for their overhead space in the aft end of the airplane. Passengers might use this area for quiet business meetings or a comfortable respite from their regular seat. Flight attendants also might use this space for rest breaks away from the passenger cabin. One of the key innovations in the 747X family is the creative use of this previously unused overhead space, which is above the ceiling of the passenger cabin. Passenger or crew sleeping berths, changing rooms or reading rooms are among the many other configuration options. The 747X Stretch, the world's largest 747, is available to enter service in 2005.
