The Boeing Model 8/BB-L6 made its first flight on May 24, 1920. Built for Herb Munter's aerial tours, it is the first airplane to fly over Mount Rainier (14,411 feet). Herb Munter was Boeing's first test pilot and began flying charter flights from Seattle following World War I.
