Model 203 at Boeing School of Aeronautics

The Boeing Model 203 Trainer of 1929 was a training plane that was built for the Boeing School of Aeronautics. After completion of seven airplanes, the final corrected drawings were sold to Stearman Airplane Company in Wichita and were used as the foundation for the famed Kaydet trainer of WWII. The 203 had a wing span of 34' upper and 28'8" lower, length of 24'4." It was powered by an Axelson radial 145 hp engine with a two-bladed metal 8'6" propeller. Fuel capacity was 38 gallons, gross weight 2,625 lbs., top speed 108 mph, landing speed 50 mph.
