Rockwell B-1A Prototype
In June 1970, North American Rockwell's design was selected as the B-1A and was awarded a development contract by the US Air Force. One ground and three flight test aircraft were built. 240 B-1As were to be delivered but the program was cancelled in June 1977. The four B-1A airplanes together flew a total of 247 flights and logged 1,895.2 hours when testing ended on April 30, 1981.
