377 Stratocruiser in Flight

The Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser was a propeller-powered luxury airliner. It was both the last of its kind and the first of its kind, and it prepared airlines and passengers for the commercial jet airliners of today. The "First Lady of the Airways" was the elegant civilian offspring of the austere C-97 military transport. It was as tough as a military plane, but as comfortable as a first-class hotel.
