The AV-8B Harrier II was developed through an agreement among the United States, Spain, and Italy. The first Harrier was built in in England. In 1969, British Aerospace, McDonnell Douglas, and Rolls Royce teamed up to improve the British Harrier by boosting its payload and radius.
