On Aug. 26, 1999, the first new jetliner scheduled for airline delivery in the 21st century made its formal debut during an employee celebration as the 767-400ER airplane rolled out of the Boeing factory in Everett, Washington. An estimated 2,000 employees were invited to come forward to see and touch the new jetliner.
