A-36 Invader (P-51 Mustang) Manufacturing, Dive Brakes Extended
The North American Aviation A-36 Invader was the ground-attack/dive bomber version of the company's P-51 Mustang fighter. The A-36 wings were strengthened and modified to include air brakes and improved bomb racks. The guns on the A-36 differed from those installed on the P-51.
