Fokker Rotary Engine and Mountings
Atlantic Aircraft - the North American subsidiary of Fokker, started operations in 1924 at Hasbrouck Heights (Teterboro, NJ). Atlantic Aircraft became "Fokker Aircraft" in 1929, and was then bought up by General Motors. In May 1930 the name changed yet again, to "General Aviation." It became part of North American Aviation (the holding company) in 1933, and with the addition of Berliner-Joyce, formed North American Aviation in 1934.
