North American Aviation NA-33 Wing Panel on Shipping Crate
The North American Aviation NA-16-2K (NA-33) was selected as the training and general purpose military aircraft for the Royal Australian Air Force in January 1938. Manufactured in Australia by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) between 1939 and 1946, 756 “Wirraway” aircraft served as one of the RAAF's main trainer types and also saw action in the light bomber/ground attack role. The aircraft made its last operational flight in 1959. Wirraway is an Aboriginal word meaning "challenge."
