MD-90 at Long Beach

The McDonnell Douglas MD-90 twin jet displayed new corporate colors for the manufacturer's commercial aircraft division in the 1990s. The aircraft is pictured in front of the building that was the Long Beach, CA headquarters of the Douglas Aircraft division. The livery, featuring white, green and blue striping and lettering, was designed to emphasize the company's focus on environmental acceptability for its products. The MD-90's IAE V2500 engines made it the quietest, cleanest air transport in its class at the time this photo was taken in the mid 1990s.
