Three 747-400s were modified at Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corp. in Taiwan to transport major components of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The enlarged upper fuselage sections increased the main deck of the Dreamlifters to 65,000 cubic feet (1,845m3), three times the cargo by volume as the standard 747-400 freighter.
