Boeing A-314 Clipper, pilot's seat and flight deck

Boeing's 314 Clipper broke new ground with its flight deck, which took steps to address the problem of crew fatigue on nonstop ocean flights lasting from 24 to 26 hours. The Clipper had a fully-carpeted 9 x 21 foot flight deck area that had walking around room for a six-man crew as well as quarters for an off-duty crew.
