747-8 Intercontinental successfully began its flight test program March 20, 2011, taking off from Paine Field in Everett, Wash. The airplane landed four hours and 25 minutes later at Boeing Field in Seattle. The airplane may look like its famous predecessors, but the wings, engines and flight deck are new, and the upper deck has been stretched to new lengths.
