McDonnell GAM-72 Quail on Trailer
Designed for launching from the bomb bay of a B-47 or B-52, the McDonnell GAM-72 Quail acted as a decoy to draw the enemy defense away from target-bound bombers. The GAM-72 duplicated the flight characteristics and radar signature of the parent aircraft. A total of 585 GAM-72s were produced by McDonnell Aircraft. The final production Quail was delivered to the USAF on May 28, 1962.
