Boeing International Docking Adapter
Boeing delivered the third of three international docking adapters (IDA) to NASA for the International Space Station on December 16, 2016. The adapters were built using an international docking systems standard, enabling future commercial crew spacecraft like Boeing’s Starliner and SpaceX’s Dragon to dock to the space station.
IDA-3 is scheduled for launch in early 2018 on a commercial resupply vehicle.
