Following launch, a Ground launched Small Diameter Bomb spins out of the launch pod container before transition to flight.

During several weeks of testing in February 2015, Boeing and Saab demonstrated that Boeing's Small Diameter Bomb, currently operated as an air-launched weapon, can be adapted for launch from a ground artillery system without compromising its performance. Boeing and Saab will offer the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb to current and future rocket artillery users under a teaming agreement.
