The Wideband Global Satcom-7 Spacecraft
The Wideband Global Satcom-7 spacecraft is shown prior to containerization and shipment from Boeing's Satellite Development Center in El Segundo, Calif. The backbone of wideband DOD satellite communications, WGS satellites provide protected communications capability using shapeable and steerable spot beams that easily reconfigure based on user needs. Thanks to a payload upgrade, WGS-7 will provide up to 17 percent more bandwidth.
