The F-15E, which flew for the first time Dec. 11, 1986, is a two-seat dual-role fighter capable of flying both air-to-air and air-to-ground, long-range interdiction missions day or night, good weather or bad. The F-15E is acapble of attacking high-value targets such as communications centers, roads, bridges and airfields while armed with self-defense air-to-air weapons and an internal electronic jamming system for defense against ground threats.
