Retired from Boeing since 1986, Joe Sutter continues to serve as an advisor to the company. Today in his mid-80s, he lives in West Seattle and can often be found in his office at Boeing Commercial Airplanes headquarters, or up at Everett for one reason or another. He is widely hailed as a preeminent senior statesman of aviation and has won many prestigious awards.
