First Rack for ISS Destiny Lab Module
The first system rack for the Destiny Laboratory module for the International Space Station is installed by Boeing technicians at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The rack, about the size of a closet, will supply electrical power to the scientific racks inside the laboratory module, which is the centerpiece of the International Space Station. In all, Destiny has a total of 214 racks, 13 of which contain scientific experiments.
