North American Aviation's Kansas division set up a recreation program during WWII. A special staff aided day and night shifts in arranging group parties and dances, helped organize and train the many athletic teams, and planned activities for hundreds of departmental bowling contests. Despite the myriad interests of the employees, production remained the main goal.
