North American's KC Production Facility
At first, women worked only in the small handwork departments at NAA's Kansas division. Then gradually they were assigned to the pattern shop, the final assembly line, welding, punch-pressing, and other production departments. By the end of WWII, more than 40 percent of NAA's Kansas division were women, working in almost every department.
