Boeing marked completion of its 757 commercial airplane program on Oct. 28, 2004, as thousands of employees, retirees and guests saluted one of the most successful passenger airplanes in history. Boeing Customer Delivery Center employees turned out at Boeing Field in Seattle to bid a fond farewell to the last Boeing 757. Employees enjoyed ice cream, added mementos to a 757 time capsule and signed banners while mingling around the 757-200. aircraft.The 757-200 airplane, was the 1,050th airplane produced in Renton, WA. The 757 is one of only seven large commercial jetliner models that sold more than 1,000 units.
