The T-45 Goshawk is the center of the T-45 training system, which was designed for undergraduate jet aircraft training. The Goshawk is a heavily modified naval variant of the Hawk, a land-suitable trainer produced by U.K.-based BAE Systems. T-45s used the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) as the carrier qualification test site for pilots in December 2006. Here, two Goshawks are shown on one of the Roosevelt's aircraft elevators.
