RB-66 Destroyer Departs Long Beach, CA with JATO Power

The RB-66 was modified for use in night photo, electronics and weather reconnaissance. This RB-66 had 8 small rocket units in the aft fuselage for jet-assisted takeoff (JATO). The B-66 Destroyer and A-3 Skywarrior were produced in the Douglas Aircraft factory in Long Beach, California.
