North American F-108 Rapiers in Formation
The F-108 had a large cranked delta wing and a tall all-moving vertical tailfin. The Rapier was designed to cruise at Mach 3 and fly at altitudes in excess of 100,000 feet. The F-108 was the escort fighter for the XB-70 Valkyrie bomber, also designed by North American.
