On August 1, 1997, The Boeing Company, along with its North American component, merged with McDonnell Douglas Corp. Pictured here is McDonnell Douglas' family of commercial jet transports that were in production at the time of the merger with Boeing. On January 1998, Boeing changed name of the MD-95 jetliner to the 717-200.
