The Fokker VII A-3M Byrd arctic expedition aircraft was nicknamed "Josephine Ford" after the daughter of the expedition's financial sponsor, Edsel Ford. Richard E. Byrd claimed to have flown this plane over the North Pole on May 9, 1926.
