NASA’s new thrust into the commercial crew transportation will advance the design and development of a commercial crew transportation system. Boeing received award of CCDev funding to research and develop the overall system definition and perform demonstration testing ion life support, avionics, landing systems, and other critical subsystems. The CCDev Program will allow Boeing to move toward full demonstration of commercial human space flight to low Earth orbit in the near term.
