Boeing Family of Commercial Jets
As markets evolved, so did Boeing jets. The 737 was initially a smaller, short-range, twin-engine jet. The massive 747 jumbo jet was built when crowded airports and increased airline traffic indicated a need for an airliner with even greater payload capacity and range. The extremely fuel-efficient 757 and 767 models, with their flight deck and parts commonality, showed how sharing equipment, pilot certification, and maintenance systems could save airlines time and money. The most recent member of the Boeing jet family, the 777, continues the tradition of combining the most advance technologies with passenger comfort and operation efficiency.
