P-51H Mustang Wind Tunnel Model

A North American Aviation engineer inspects a $20,000 mahogany-and-metal wind tunnel model produced by over two dozen craftsmen at NAA's model shop. The quarter-scale model weighed 400 pounds and was fastened carefully to struts in the Inglewood wind tunnel for testing.
