777-200 Body Assembly

The skills and resources of leading aerospace companies around the world contributed to the design and production of the 777. Firms in Europe, Canada, Asia-Pacific and the United States provided components and portions of the structure. The largest single international team member is the Japanese aerospace industry which helped design and builds about 20 percent of the airframe structure. In November 2006, the 777 manufacturing process converted to a moving line system, replacing the old station to station method of assembly pictured here.
