Boeing 737-800

The 737-800 is the second member of the Next-Generation 737 family, which also includes the 737-600, -700 and -900 models. The -800 is a stretched version of the Classic 737-400 and is capable of carrying 160 to 189 passengers. It follows the -700 model, which was the first of the new 737 models to roll off the Boeing Renton, Washington, production line. The 737-800 was launched in September 1994, with an order for 16 airplanes from Hapag-Lloyd of Germany.
