The low-wing cargo and mail plane did not have struts under the wing, and had smooth, all-metal construction with anti-drag cowling over an air-cooled engine. However, the design did not reach its full potential because it needed a variable-pitch propeller. The Monomail did not acquire this type of propeller until the newer, multi-engine airplanes that would replace it were already flying.BI24004 (4378b1)Maximum size:5998px × 4612px (~79 MB)19.9in × 15.3in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1930s-airplanes-Boeing Field-close-ups-commercial-commercial passenger planes-conventional landing gears-day-exteriors-ground shots-historic production status-landing gears-left front views-left side views-mail planes-main wheels-Monomail-Monomail Model 221-monoplanes-other livery-photos-propeller planes-tarmac-viewed from below-vintage / retroRelated Photo/Videos:View All
