Nicknamed Big Henry, it was based on the McDonnell XH-20 Little Henry of the late 1940s. The single test model showed satisfactory flight characteristics during testing, but like its smaller predecessor, Big Henry's ramjet engines were too noisy and used too much fuel. It did not attract a buyer, so the project was abandoned.BI41700 (D4E-32090)Maximum size:2926px × 2272px (~19 MB)9.7in × 7.5in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1950s-clear skies-day-exteriors-full body views-glare-ground shots-historic production status-McDonnell Aircraft-Missouri-Model 79 utility helicopter - Big Henry-one of a kind aircraft-research/experimental-right side views-rotorcraft-rotorcraft blades-St. Louis-sunshine-United States-unpainted-vintage / retroRelated Photo/Videos:View AllRelated Virtual folders:Research and Experimental Aircraft
