MB-3A Fuselages Crated for Rail Transport

On June 10, 1921, the Boeing Airplane Co. landed a contract to build 200 Thomas Morse MB-3A pursuit fighters that put the company business back on track. The government paid $7,240 per fighter. All 200 MB-3As were delivered by the end of 1922, and Boeing established itself as a reliable manufacturer of fighter aircraft.
