The biennial Australian International Air Show was held in March 2007 at Avalon Airport. Three US Navy Super Hornets were on display and performed aerobatic demonstrations at the event. Twenty-four F/A-18F Block II Super Hornets are scheduled replace the RAAF's F-111s from 2010.
