CH-46 Sea Knight from USMC Helicopter Squadron 774 departs Ridley Park Site
A CH-46 "Phrog" from U.S. Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 774 departs Philadelphia following a farewell visit and tour in June 2015. The nickname “Phrog” alludes to the rotorcraft's amphibian-like appearance at takeoff. Boeing has supported the CH-46 Sea Knight and the Marines flying them for more than 51 years. Global Services & Support’s Rotorcraft Support program provides transactional supply-chain support and field-service representatives. To meet evolving mission requirements, the V-22 Osprey will provide the Marines with advanced capabilities for its future demands.
The U.S. Marine Corps retired the CH-46 Sea Knight in August 2015.
