The pressurized Model 367s had a double-lobe fuselage consisting of two intersecting circular sections so its 74-foot-long upper deck had the larger diameter. Cargo was loaded through large clamshell doors in the belly using a built-in ramp and a hoist. In addition to five crew members, the C-97 Stratofreighter could carry 134 troops or 83 stretcher patients with four attendants.BI24256 (p9720)Maximum size:5998px × 5998px (~102 MB)19.9in × 19.9in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1940s-abundance-airplanes-C-97 Stratofreighter (Model 367)-close-ups-day-exteriors-flight lines-full body views-ground shots-head on views-historic production status-military-military livery-monoplanes-nacelles-photos-propeller planes-propellers-propulsion systems-repetition-structural systems-tarmac-transports-unpainted-viewed from below-vintage / retroRelated Photo/Videos:View All
