Powered by two 2 liter, four-cylinder engines that provide 150 horsepower each, and a 150 foot wing span, Phantom Eye will cruise at approximately 150 knots and can carry up to a 450-pound payload. Primary missions for the aircraft include persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, as well as communications, for customer in the defense, civil and commercial markets.
Phantom Eye is conducting test flights at NASA’s Dryden flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
