Boeing Launches Italian Earth Observation Satellite
The Boeing Company, through its commercial launch business, successfully launched the Italian Constellation of Small Satellites for Mediterranean basin Observation (COSMO) SkyMed spacecraft June 7, 2007 aboard a Delta II rocket from Vandenberg AFB in California at 7:34 p.m. Pacific time. This was the first commercial Delta II launch since the formation of the United Launch Alliance in December 2006.
