It is the primary means of transporting major assemblies of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from suppliers around the world to the 787 final assembly site in Everett, Wash. This reduces delivery times to as little as one day from as many as 30 days today. The most significant change to the 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter airplane is the new extended upper fuselage, which boosts the cargo capacity by volume to 65,000 cubic feet, more than three times the cargo capacity of a standard 747-400 freighter. A fleet of three LCFs ferry 787 assemblies between Nagoya, Japan, Grottaglie, Italy; Wichita, Kan. and Charleston, S.C., before flying them to the Boeing factory in Everett, Wash., for final assembly. The first two LCFs will entered service in early 2007; the third in 2008.BI218344 (k63795-07)Maximum size:2400px × 3000px (~20 MB)8.0in × 10.0in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:2000s-747 family-747-400-747-400F-747-400LCF Dreamlifter-abundance-adults-airplanes-Boeing Field-Boeing livery-cargo handling-close-ups-commercial-copy space-day-freighters-fuselages-gray color-grid patterns-ground crews-ground shots-half-length views-head on views-inside looking out-interiors-jets-LANDING GEAR POSITIONS-large-monoplanes-out of production-payload bays-payload systems-perspective lines-photos-reflections-repetition-structural systems-symmetry-transports-two people-white-windowsRelated Photo/Videos:View All
