Boeing 787 Dreamliner Flight Deck
The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight deck introduces innovative new technologies to help pilots while maintaining commonality with the popular Boeing 777 Worldliner. Commonality with the 777 greatly reduces the training pilots of other Boeing airplane models will need to become qualified as 787 pilots. The 787 features the industry's largest display screens, with five monitors that measure 15 inches on the diagonal. They provide more than twice the display space as the 777, giving pilots more information in easier-to-read formats. Other standard euipment on the 787 flight deck includes dual heads-up displays, dual electronic flight bags, traffic-alert and collision-avoidance system, electronic checklists, full-route vertical situation displays, large-format map, and dual enhanced ground-proximity warning systems.
