Intended for short and medium-length flights, the 727 can use relatively short runways at smaller airports. It has three Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines below a T-tail, one on each side of the rear fuselage with a center engine that connects through an S-duct to an inlet at the base of the fin. The 727 is the only Boeing trijet to enter commercial production.BI433023 (K11755_10-1-1964_Ansett_ANA_727_Signaway_Group_Photo)Maximum size:2772px × 2171px (~17 MB)9.2in × 7.2in (300dpi)License type:Rights ManagedKeywords:1960s-727 family-aircraft-airplanes-airports-American-Boeing-Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)-commercial-engines-flying-fuselages-jets-passengers and travelers-productivity-runways-several/groupsRelated Photo/Videos:View AllRelated Virtual folders:Discover - Special Collections
